I do not remember when I learned to cut paper. Maybe it was in Kindergarten, maybe earlier? But today was the first day many of our teenage moms in Kampala used a pair of scissors for the first time. They began learning to cut out sanitary pads. The group will attempt to sew over 1800 pads in the next 4 months. The pads will be a gift to the 300 school girls about 4 hours away. But the process of making these pads will teach our women new skills. They are excited to be able to give. I shipped a very large box of flannel fabric for this project. If you would like to send fabric or money you can leave me a message. Thank you!
