Suubi Teen Mops Ministry Uganda is an NGO!!!!

Sylvia got a text message.  The NGO license has been approved.  They can go pick it up. Isn't that amazing!  I can hardly believe it happened so fast.  It is a two-year license.  They will be heavily monitored.  And after that, they can apply for a 5-year license.  They will be allowed to sell soap.  That is the good news.  The bad news is they need a certificate of safety and quality in order to ship soap internationally.  We will work on this.  Hopefully, we will find groups to sell their soap, and it will come with a certificate of safety and quality.

Now let me tell you a true story.  About a week ago I had a dream.  It was more like a nightmare.  And I saw the face of one of the teen MOPS women.  She was crying out in fear and hunger.  The hunger was so strong.  And after this dream, I could not sleep.  So I called Sylvia the next day and asked her about this young women.   And Sylvia was amazed because this same woman had come to her that very morning asking for a job in the soap workshop.  She has been abused by her relatives and starved.  They wanted to chase her from the house.  Her baby boy is 3 months old.  Today she moved to the soap workshop.  She will live and work there.  She wants to study hairdressing.  Eventually, we hope to open a hairdressing school.   Today they went to buy food for the soap making workshop.  And I am reminded how God knows...and he sees every bird that falls from the sky.  He knows the number of hairs on our heads.  He cares deeply for one single mother in Kampala.  And tonight she is safe. Her baby is safe.  There is food to feed her for the next month. And I am so glad that he knows.
