We handed out bed nets today

Malaria is a disease spread by mosquitos. And sadly Uganda has the highest rate of Malaria in the world, nearly 450 out of every 1000 get this disease. It is the leading cause of death in children under the age of 5 in Uganda. What helps reduce the rate of contracting malaria is sleeping under a net. And today 20 women at teen MOPS received a new bed net. This was a very generous donation from Soundview church in Everett. Washington USA. We hope and believe no mom or child in our group will die of malaria thanks to this donation. Today was also the feast day. And we are so grateful for the people who donated the food. So Yum yummy! Thank you so much! What a special day! -Sylvia Nantango
