Say no to corruption (update)

Corruption hits poor people hard – with devastating consequences. A bribe demanded by a police officer, for example, may mean that a family can’t afford school fees or even food to eat. We have applied to get a license for quality for our soap.  But we wait and wait for a result.  The rumor is we cannot receive this license without a bribe to the officials.  No one has asked us…at least not yet.  But it has been implied.  And we simply cannot bribe them.  Corruption drags societies down.  We need a fair process.  We have paid the required fees for testing.  The fees were already extremely high.  But now we continue to wait.  And we cannot sell our soap in stores or hotels.  Please pray for us.  We have so many women who rely on the income from our soap workshop.  But they still make no profit because they can only sell soap door to door.  We need a chance to sell large amounts of soap so we can pay the bills.  Please, my friends, pray for us.

update... Sylvia called the test center.  They said they have run out of the chemicals for testing the soap.  And we have to continue to wait.  So far no one has asked for a bribe, please pray for a fair process.
