It is Friday already. The days fly by. And Friday is the day I ask you to pray for Suubi Teen MOPS in Uganda. In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”. We needed 2000 Euros to pay school fees and pay for the material for 3000 washable sanitary pads to give to 500 school girls. And the school fees will be paid this week. 16 children will be attending school this term because of all of you. And Next month the pads will be handed out at schools. So God willing girls will stay in school and not drop out because this simple need is going to be met. So, first of all, I want to thank God for helping us with this need. And I want to thank all of you for giving and praying for this need.
Sylvia and Olive are both at a Christian leadership seminar. This seminar is going to run for a few days a month, and last for a few years. I have only received a few short notes, but evidently, it is powerful and encouraging. And our leaders in Uganda give and give. It is wonderful to have people who will pour into them.
We still need jobs for our women graduating from sewing school. And we are still in a process to receive funding for next year. The soap workshop will be inspected God willing this next week. Please pray it passes the inspection. It has been difficult to find the fabric to finish all the pads. We need a good source for fabric. One of the kids in the sewing workshop got his hand stuck in a machine. He had to have stitches and was in pain. Please pray for safety and health. Every time we start to make progress it seems we are robbed by sickness and accidents. This is not an afterthought request. We really need grace to not get sick or have accidents or trouble.
Finally, my team is preparing for our trip. God willing we will go on June 9th. So please pray for our preparation. Thank you so much for the role you play in praying for this work.
