It's Friday and I am asking you to pray for Suubi Teen MOPS in Uganda. This week they had rain. But sadly they also got hit with really hard hail. The hail damaged our green shade house. This can be repaired. The neighbor's house made from mud and straw was devastated. The walls crashed. I don't think anyone was hurt, but he lost his house. And now he must rebuild in the rainy season. We hear about the hardships that are plaguing the world. But individual drama is everywhere and always. We do need the courage to keep on rebuilding. Courage to live our lives. I believe this is true more now than ever.

The money has been sent so the builder can finish the inside of the kitchen and dining room at the Suubi center. They will be plastering the walls and finishing the floors. They will not be putting in the tile. That is something Juergen will probably do when he goes in August God willing. But they will be able to use the building soon, just in time for the rains. They are also going to take a class on how to keep chickens. And they will get chickens soon. And the 15 000 bricks are nearly finished. So soon the brick makers will leave. We will begin slowly to use the bricks. The first project will be toilets and showers. We are seeking bids for shower and toilet rooms. They have to be wheelchair accessible by law. All of this is a Hugh challenge because we are off-grid. So they will have to have a biodigester septic tank. The health department doesn't approve of our compost toilet system. They want us to build pit latrines. I find pit latrines disgusting and unsafe. I am not willing to build them at the center. But my solution is going to be expensive. We also really need a well. I am trying not to get discouraged. The list of needs is overwhelming. But we have to attack things one day at a time. This week the kitchen will get finished. They will be planting more plants that snakes don't like. Everyone is still recovering from the flu/ Covid. Please pray for them as they gain strength again. Pray for the funds we need to get our kids back in the classroom. We are seeking 32 new child sponsorship families. Each of these sponsors will share the responsibility of one child. The combined support will give us the funds we need to manage the increased costs of school in Kampala. It's sad we need to pay so much money for school. But this is the present reality. This is

the only solution we can figure out. Until we find 2nd sponsors, our kids will continue to receive private tutoring 4 hours a day. They are ok. But long term we do pray they can return to the classroom. If we can find corporate sponsors or cheaper school options we are very open to this as well. Pray for God's provision and direction for these kids. Thank you.
