We found a school to help

The school is called Katerero Primary and Secondary school... Its 4 hour drive away from Kampala.

In Rakai district

The school has three hundred girls... The head teacher said some girls couldn't come today because of their periods.

Look at a picture where girls are tying their sweaters around their waste. That’s the problem.

And yesterday members of the sewing class, the sewing teacher and some officials went to this school by bus (4 hours).  And they have decided they will try to sew reusable sanitary pads for these girls.  If we can find people to sponsor the pads, the money will go towards the education of our teen MOPS, plus the materials for the pads.  So the girls in  Katerero Primary and Secondary school get free reusable pads, and the teen MOPS group gets an education in tailoring.  Where in this world could your dollars help so many people?   We will try to give each of these 300 girls 6 reusable pads.  That is 1800 pads.  We think it is fair to ask people to donate 50 cents per pad.  So imagine, for your gift of 25 dollars you will be providing 8 girls with the sanitary pads they need to continue in school without embarrassment or disruption.  The women are ready to sew, and the sewing school is also happy to support this project.  Now we need money.  About 900 dollars.  You can donate by pay pal.  Thank you.
