We are launching a washable sanitary pad project. Our goal is to have
our women in Kampala sew 500 menstrual kits for school girls in a rural
Uganda school, maybe two schools. Each kit will include 6 washable pads
and a bar of soap, each kit cost 5 Euros or 6 USD to make. And the
kits will be handed out in the school, or schools in June when my team
goes to Uganda. So we are basically going to ask our sewing school to
sew 3000 washable pads before they graduate in May. We are looking for
individuals or groups to help sponsor kits. For 50 Euros (60 USD) you
can sponsor 10 kits. For 100 Euros (120 USD) you can sponsor 20 kits.
The profit will actually cover the school fees for 16 of our children
for the summer term. So your donations will help our teen moms to send
their children to school, and the washable pads will help 500 girls to
stay in school. 30% of all girls in Uganda drop out of school because
they cannot afford sanitary pads. So your donation can keep girls in
school, and empower teenage mothers to earn school fees for their kids.
We never keep anything for administration. 100% of your donation goes
to the group in Uganda. And if you pay German taxes, we can give you a
tax receipt. Look below for the ways you can donate. God willing, I
will be in Uganda June 9-20th with a team of 6 people including my
16-year-old daughter Sarah. It will be a great honor to hand out kits
personally. And our women will be telling their stories, urging girls
to finish their education. They will also share about sex education,
and preventing HIV. Please share this with all your friends
